Novus Jewellery Design Studio specialises in
teaching you how to manufacture and design your own
silver and gold jewellery via daily jewellery
classes, short courses, jewellery getaway weekends
and Saturday workshops.
We run a working studio and therefore have all the
material, tools and equipment you will ever need
during the jewellery design and manufacturing
process.
Want to make your own plate and wire? Not a problem
with a dedicated melting and casting area and a
rolling mill capable of handling both wire and
plate.
Other equipment includes a wall mounted wire drawing
machine, 2 buff polishing machine, ultrasonic
cleaning machine, electroplating machine, dedicated
soldering station, 12 ton hydraulic press, dedicated
acid station, etc., etc., etc.
The studio caters for a maximum of 5 students as
we believe that small classes assure the special
attention you need to explore your creative
potential.
All our jewellery benches, with the exception of
Sunette's bench, is permanently wall mounted and is
fitted with a bench peg, permanent vinyl bench skin,
individual light source and basic pliers and other
miscellaneous tools. PS: We also have a high speed
ADSL internet connection should you wish to do
research on a specific manufacturing technique or
just need to surf the internet for inspiration.
We stock a wide range of materials (Aluminum,
Copper, Brass, Fine Silver, Sterling Silver, etc.)
in many shapes and forms (Wire, Plate, Granules,
Tubes, Blocks, etc.) as well as an extensive range
of jewellery tools and
equipment, from jewellery benches to jewellery
saws, for beginners as well as professional
